Description: The Abbey of Farneta, founded by the Benedectines in ca.1000 and then taken over by the Olivetan friars, is one of the best Aretine Romanesque examples. The crypt, with three three-apse cells, is the most important part of the building.

Basilica di Santa Margherita

Description: The Sanctuary of Santa Margherita was built on top of a hill in the XIII century. The church, rebuilt in the XIX century, houses the body of Santa Margherita inside a silver urn, and a XIII century wood Crucifix which spoke to the Saint.
